WELCOME LAURA TO THE 300 NORTH TEAM
We would like to say a really big welcome to Laura Maddocks, the latest member of the 300 North family. Laura has joined us as a Recruitment Administrator to help support our team of consultants and make our client and candidate experience as smooth as possible. Laura has a professional background in customer experience, sales and administration and is looking forward to getting stuck-in to the recruitment process and leaning more about the Facilities Management Sector.
We asked Laura a few questions to help everyone get to know her a little better, so here goes! ....
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m 31 and live with my 2 children (8 & 5) who often drain me but make me laugh every day. I am a sociable person and I like to keep busy. I started slimming world this year and joined a gym in an attempt to get fitter. I have grown up in Leeds and can’t imagine living any where else.
2. Please tell everyone about your role at 300 North and a little bit about your professional background
I will mainly be supporting 300 North's blue collar sector with administration tasks to make the client and candidate experience as smooth as possible. I have spent the last 6 years working for JCT600 as a fleet administrator, and for the last 12 months a sales administrator for their in house broker. I dealt with funders, maintained rate books, booked in deliveries and set up customers ready for the broker to quote.
3. What is the first job you ever had
While at collage I worked as a waitress for a agency usually located at Ripley Castle or Rudding Park. Although the job was awful, I loved the venues and seeing all the different themes of weddings people have. It gave me an idea of what I wanted/didn’t want for my own wedding.
4. What do you like to do in your spare time
I enjoy the usual things, seeing my family and friends, going out- especially for a good dance, and mainly holidays! I love city breaks and beach holidays, as long as its hot. I am currently saving to go back to New York which is my favourite place in the world. I am enjoying the gym and the steam/sauna after! Also binging on box sets.
5. Dream travel location
I’d love to go to the Caribbean. The weather and lifestyle seems like my idea of heaven!
6. What is your favourite sport
I am not a sports person at all.. but I like rugby players so I'd have to say rugby!
7. Favourite movie/book
Pretty Woman.. a completely stereotypical female answer.
8. Favourite country visited
Definitley Italy. I went to Rome a couple of years ago and loved everything about it. I hope to go back to see more of the country.
9. What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery
A plane ticket to anywhere hot! I could plan the rest of my spending from the beach
