WELCOME JOE FIRTH TO OUR TEAM
Welcome to Joe Firth who we're delighted has joined the growing 300 North team as a Principal Recruitment Consultant.
To introduce Joe and allow everyone to get to know him, we asked him a few questions to start us off:
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a very friendly chap who likes to have a good craic with my friends, colleagues and family. I enjoy helping others and adding positive contributions where possible. I have worked in recruitment for 8 years since leaving University, it’s a demanding job but rewarding! Having good colleagues and a good working environment makes all the difference!
Please tell everyone your new role and a little bit about your professional background?
I have worked within M&E trades initially recruiting, electricians, plumbers and pipefitters on sites around Yorkshire. I then progressed to white collar M&E permanent placements and gradually picked up FM along the way. I will be working alongside the existing team here at 300 North, using my existing skills and knowledge.
What is the first job you ever had?
I used to do gardening jobs aged 14 for people at the weekend. I got a lot of satisfaction from making the old people who couldn’t manage to do their own gardens smile.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to spend time with my wife and daughter. Going on trips and taking part in fun activities like soft play! I used to play cricket and rugby but not so much now! I try, sporadically to attend the gym.
Dream travel location?
Thailand or Vietnam. Love the scenery and culture.
What is your favourite sport?
Rugby Union I used to play a lot when younger- The body isn’t up to it anymore!
Favourite movie/book?
Favourite Movie- Lord of the rings trilogy. Favourite book- The Hobbit- Very geeky I know!
Favourite country visited
Bali- Fantastic country, really hot, really cheap and everyone is super friendly.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery
Depends how much… probably a ridiculous super car like a Buggatti
Hidden talents?
I am a keen gardener and make a mean hanging basket.
