Job Purpose:
Working for a leading Facilities Management company, you will be based across large Education facilities in Nottingham.
- Supervise a mobile engineering team completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance on Mechanical and Electrical services.
- Oversee a team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of multi-skilled Hard Services engineers and technicians.
- Oversee and carry out PPM, reactive maintenance, and emergency works in line with contract requirements.
- Occasionally support project works and minor turnkey projects.
- Provide detailed reports for remedial works and lifecycle conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of service reports and timesheets.
- Act as a key point of contact for Facilities Maintenance clients.
- Maintain high levels of technical support and effective client communication.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards and industry regulations.
- Supervise response to reactive maintenance and Helpdesk requests.
- Coordinate with specialist sub-contractors.
- Support Estimators with quotations for remedial and extra works.
- Ensure team training and competency remain current.
- Manage the on-call rota and cover emergencies related to mechanical and electrical services.
- Attend meetings and provide a technical interface with the site manager.
- Manage resources, including consumables, equipment, and fleet.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Installations
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
- Completed Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Experience as a Low Voltage Appointed Person
- Basic mechanical systems knowledge
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience in producing minor works and repair quotations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
