Role: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Hatfield
Salary: £31,000
Our client, a Facilities Management Provider, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to look after their site in Hatfield.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a friendly and progressive, flexible organisation who are growing and have lots of secure career and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will work with the maintenance team, carrying out various general repairs and both planned and reactive maintenance tasks throughout the site.
Key role responsibilities:
- Perform large-scale redecoration projects and various building fabric repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Conduct regular safety checks and complete preventative planned maintenance tasks, such as fire alarm testing, water temperature testing, and emergency light checks.
Manage the maintenance of air conditioning systems by changing filters and overseeing gutter clearing and footpath upkeep.
Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with safety protocols and safe systems of work during maintenance activities.
Carry out furniture and equipment relocation, as well as tiling work, to maintain functionality and aesthetics within the building.
Skills Required:
- Previous relevant experience.
Electrical, Plumbing or decorating skills.
Good H&S knowledge.
