  • £56,000 p/a package including car allowance

We are currently looking for an experienced Facilities Manager who was worked in the PFI sector to join an award-winning FM business on 2 of their sites in Blackpool. The PFI FM will manage 2 local sites – one Healthcare centre and one Academy School. You will manage the caretaking teams on a day-to-day basis as well as engaging with the engineering team and external subcontractors for hard services works. The FM will have a overall responsibility for Health and Safety, KPI and SLA delivery, budget management and lifecycle and maintenance works on the sites.

Having a strong commercial awareness with the PFI arena and excellent relationship management skills are needed for this role to truly partner with the on-site customer.

Duties of the role include:


  • Managing a direct team of caretakers across 2 sites, working with the supervisors to monitor their schedules of work and performance.
  • Staff appraisal and development.
  • Working with specialist subcontractors for various provisions to make sure all services are delivered on time and to a high standard for the client in a cost effective manner.
  • Overseeing hard services on the site – ppm, reactive works and lifecycle works.
  • Managing site health and safety as well as compliance (statutory and regulatory), completing regular inspections and ensuring relevant audits and paperwork trails are up to date.
  • Completing method statements and risk assessments for the site.
  • Mansing KPI and SLA delivery to ensure jobs are completed on time and no penalties are taken on the contract.
  • Working in line with budgets.
  • Monitoring the performance of the contract against requirements and looking for continuous improvement.
  • Monthly reporting of contract performance.
  • Dealing with any enquiries or issues from the school or the SPV.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • PFI experience is essential.
  • Management of both hard and soft services is preferred but would consider either/or.
  • Experience manging KPIs.
  • Experience management budgets.
  • Good knowledge of contracts and performance management.
  • Experienced relationship builder.
  • The role will require an enhanced DBS check.
