We are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to manage a leading contract across a Social Housing portfolio in Glasgow. Working alongside the projects and voids teams, you will be in charge of planned maintenance and reactive works across properties in the area. Managing a team of supervisors, engineers, administrators, planners and sub-contractors, your department will be in charge or completing ppm works and compliance documentation as well as referring on any more substantial projects work to the repairs department. In this role you’ll be managing a budget of £1.2m so must be commercial/financially astute and have good technical and people management skills.

Duties of the role include:
- Managing overall PPM. and reactive maintenance delivery across the social housing portfolio in Glasgow.
- Managing a team of 10 staff (engineering and admin).
- Report running to make sure the department is on track with KPI’s.
- Manging the budgets and P+L for the team - £1.2m p/a
- Formulating strategies to improve the efficiency of the maintenance delivery.
- Ensuring the team delivers an exceptional and effective customer focussed maintenance service.
- Develop new and improved services appropriate to the customer’s needs.
- Use in house staff and contractors to carry out works as required, managing the process and compliance.
- Manage tenders, specifications, and appointments of new contractors.
- Manage all technical compliance across the housing and make sure the department is always audit ready.
The Applicant:
The ideal applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of and experience in managing a technical team
- Excellent inter-personal and organisational skills to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Come from a hands-on technical background
- Experience of managing engineers and subcontractors.
- Commercial budget management.
- Driving License.
