Facilities Management Commercial Manager

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive commercial management support in County Fermanagh

This role involves working closely with contract teams and support functions to deliver effective commercial solutions.

  • £65,000  - £70,000 + car allowance + 10% bonus + Benefits

  • Hybrid working 
  • Will also consider candidates willing to travel

Key responsibilities include:

- Commercial Management: Provide day-to-day commercial support to contract teams, ensuring the identification and management of legal, financial, and commercial risks and opportunities.
- Best Practices & Governance: Drive the adoption of commercial best practices and ensure compliance with internal governance policies and procedures.
- Contractual Guidance: Advise contract teams on commercial queries, interpretation of contract terms and conditions, including risks, liabilities, payment mechanisms, KPIs, and scope requirements.
- Risk & Opportunity Management: Ensure risk and opportunity registers are maintained with clear action plans, taking direct responsibility for managing these elements.
- Contract Variations: Support account teams in managing contract variations and change orders, ensuring they are executed in line with contract requirements and internal procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Provide guidance on contract performance, resolving variations, damages, defects, and disputes.
- Experience Required: Proven experience in Risk and Opportunity Management, problem-solving, negotiation, and managing contract risk profiles.

This role is integral to ensuring the successful commercial management of contracts and requires a candidate with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex issues.

Experience:

  - Proven experience in commercial management within the construction, facilities management, or related industries.

  - Experience in managing Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts would be an advantage

  - Strong background in contract negotiation, risk management

  - Familiarity with contract law and an understanding of key contractual provisions.
