Description

Are you a skilled Construction Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity ? We have a fantastic opening for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our clients dynamic team.


Location: Middlesbrough 


Job Type : Permament 


Role Overview: As a Construction Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects. Working closely with the project management team, you will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, procurement, and contract administration to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.


Responsibilities:



  • Conducting cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects.

  • Procuring materials, subcontractors, and services within budgetary constraints.

  • Evaluating and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Monitoring project costs and expenditures throughout the construction process.

  • Managing variations and change orders to control project costs.

  • Providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to project stakeholders.

  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and procurement processes.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
