37.5 hours Monday - Friday
The Role:
Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to take charge of an exciting FM contract in Exeter's education sector. If you have a track record of delivering excellent FM services, leading a talented team of engineers, and hold electrical qualifications, this could be your next big move!
Duties/Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a maintenance team of 4 Engineers responsible for the upkeep and repair of education buildings, electrical and mechanical systems, along with all associated components, including:
- Building fabric repairs
- Minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
- Air handling system maintenance
- Regular safety checks
- Supervising contractors to ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Completing preventative planned maintenance checks, such as:
- Fire door checks
- Emergency light testing
- Fire extinguisher & fire blanket checks
- Communal lighting checks
- Undertaking building audits
Candidate specification:
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- 2391 test & inspection
- 18th edition qualified
- Experienced managing a multi-function engineering team and external contractors
- Have extensive knowledge of building services
- Competency in using and issuing work permits and safe systems of work
- Plumbing skills are advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Additional Information:
- Please note you are expected to be available for overtime work (including evenings and weekends) if required.
- The role is both office and site-based in Exeter.
- An enhanced DBS check will be completed
